“HOPE DEFERRED”
The Old Testament Book of Wisdom says, “Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life” (Proverbs 13:12 KJV). Other translations read:
NIV “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.”

OUR MISSION
Heart of America Prison Ministries supplies leather-bound study Bibles for prisoners. These Bibles are long-lasting and durable. They also are precious treasures that prisoners tend to take with them and keep for years; no matter what their circumstances.
Why not send out paperbacks? You could reach a lot more people.
While this is true, it is not the vision Heart of America Prison Ministries (HEART) was given at it's conception. We are called to provide leather-bound study Bibles to prisoners serving long sentences (ten years on average).
One single purpose; to provide Bibles that last prisoners while they are in the prison system. We have a list of prisoners requesting our Bibles. We need to send these Bibles to inmates now! learn more
