“HOPE DEFERRED”
The Old Testament Book of Wisdom says, “Hope deferred maketh the heart sick: but when the desire cometh, it is a tree of life” (Proverbs 13:12 KJV). Other translations read:
NIV “Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a longing fulfilled is a tree of life.”

MISSON STATEMENT
Heart
Ministries continues today, equipping men and women behind
prison walls with the Gospel of Jesus Christ and support materials
including study courses, books and videos.
Through our supporters, Heart Ministries has given over 4300 Bibles to prisoners since 1995. In 2005 and 2006 we sent 1330 Bibles. From January 2007 through April 2009, 1156 leather-bound Bibles have been sent to those incarcerated in more than 850 Facilities nationwide.
Many prisoners are imprisoned for
lengthy periods and their Bible is their most cherished and most used
possession. The enemy enters prison gates with pornography and many
other dangers and distractions. Heart Ministries believes we
are to provide sturdy, durable, first-class leather bound Bibles that will
last a life time and will equip our brothers and sisters in prison for
spiritual battle.
Heart Ministries gives discipleship
materials to prisons to enable spiritual growth and to equip prisoners to
lead their neighbors to Christ. Most literature is secured at
publisher's cost or supplied free of charge.
